AnchorPoint Advisory exists to evaluate payroll control maturity, quantify risk exposure, and deliver board-ready governance frameworks so that growth-stage and PE-backed finance leaders can scale without increasing operational risk.
We focus exclusively on payroll control maturity and board-level confidence—not payroll processing. Our structured evaluation framework quantifies risk exposure across GL integrity, compliance, governance, and reporting. We provide executive-level insight, trend tracking, and defensible documentation—not operational payroll services.
“Software executes transactions—it does not validate governance, reconciliation integrity, or board-level risk exposure. Structured control evaluation is a separate discipline entirely.”— Jay Crider, Founder
Jay Crider is the founder and principal advisor of AnchorPoint Advisory LLC. With over 20 years of experience in global payroll and financial governance, Jay has spent his career inside complex, multi-jurisdictional payroll environments—managing compliance, strengthening controls, and building governance frameworks that withstand audit scrutiny.
His most recent corporate role as Director of Global Payroll gave him a front-row seat to the gap that exists in nearly every growing company: the space between what leadership believes about their payroll controls and what the evidence actually shows.
“I’ve seen the audit finding before the auditor has. That’s the advantage of spending two decades inside payroll governance—you know exactly where the exposure lives.”
Jay founded AnchorPoint Advisory in 2025 to bridge that gap for growth-stage and PE-backed companies. He positions himself not as a vendor, but as an extension of the executive leadership team—an advisor who speaks the boardroom’s language and delivers findings with the precision that CFOs, PE partners, and audit committees demand.
Based in Mesa, Arizona, Jay brings a personal commitment to governance integrity, structured discipline, and long-term confidence over short-term fixes. His mission is to ensure that no finance leader has to face the board, an auditor, or a PE due diligence team without knowing exactly where they stand.
Every engagement evaluates payroll environments across four control pillars, scored on a weighted rubric and combined into a single defensible metric.
Every engagement, every deliverable, and every conversation is governed by these five commitments.
